This module aims to equip learners with the necessary knowledge on acts and legislations that govern the termination and dismissal of employees in Singapore. The systematic process of administering the proper execution and documentation of termination, dismissal and resignation procedures will also be covered. Not only will this module expound on the steps to ensure a smooth closure to resignations, it highlights the methods to gathering feedback to decrease employee turnover and improve the company’s overall working environment.

Assessment

At the end of the module, learners are required to complete a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes of summative assessment, comprising a written assignment, role play, interview for written assignment, and oral questioning. Upon successful completion of assessment, they will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA).

Entry Requirement

Learners must have a minimum pass in English (C6) for GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate and above or its equivalent (i.e. WSQ Work Place Literacy and Numeracy Skills Level 5). For learners who do not meet the minimum requirements, an oral interview would be conducted to determine suitability for the course.
